Young Candide is driven from the castle where he once lived happily, surrounded by the optimistic Pangloss and his beloved Cunégonde. Unfamiliar with the cruelty of men, Candide faces war and the Inquisition, leading the adventurous life of a fugitive. Will he succeed in finding his beautiful Cunégonde?
